How to request a ride / get a price estimate

Here’s how to request a ride in the FIBECTAXI app:

  • Open your app and enter your destination in the “Where to?” field.
  • Tap one to select your ride, you type of car (button will be your vehicle selection).
  • You will be asked to confirm your pickup location. Tap “Confirm Pickup” to send your request to eligible drivers in the area.
  • You’ll see an estimated time to be matched with an eligible driver. If no drivers are available for the type of ride you’ve chosen, the app will inform that there’s no driver for the type selected.
  • Once a driver accepts your request, you’ll see their location and estimated time of arrival on the map.

The app will notify you if no drivers are available for your request.

FIBECTAXI will send you notifications when your driver is close to your pickup location.

Do riders pay tolls or surcharges?

To get the most accurate information for your region, select your city at the top right of the page.

Please note that charges added to your trip fare may not exactly match the amount paid by your driver. For example, you may be assessed a surcharge when a driver pays a toll when returning to your city of origin, or for pickups or dropoffs at an airport.
In some cities, tolls and surcharges reflect an estimate. This is due to fluctuations in the amount actually paid. You may also pay an additional charge to your driver for other costs or inconveniences, such as a parking fee to enter a venue or a long return trip after arrival at your final destination.

You can cancel a trip at any time through FIBECTAXI app, but may be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel after you’re matched with your driver.

Ride requests should only be made when you’re ready to ride and near the pickup location. This helps ensure smooth pickups for riders and drivers.

Waived cancellation fees

You won’t be charged a cancellation fee if:

  • Your driver took much longer than expected to arrive.
  • FIBECTAXI detects that your driver isn’t making much progress to your pickup location.

If you believe you were charged a cancellation fee in error, let us know in by contacting us. This might happen if your driver canceled instead of ending the trip, or if they cancelled because they were too far away from your pickup location.

Selecting a payment method

You can select a payment method for a trip in 2 ways from your app:

When requesting a ride before your confirm you’re prompted to select the available Options

The other option is when you view your trips and there is pending payment. To settle you can change your payment method

Scheduling a ride in advance

Schedule an FIBECTAXI ride 2 hours to 30 days in advance of when you’d like to be picked up by tapping the clock icon before you confirm your ride.

How scheduled rides work

The scheduled rides feature allows you to select a time for a driver to come pick you up. The app will send a ride request for you before your selected pickup time. You’ll get push notifications when you’re matched with a driver and when they’re nearby, like you do with other rides.

Keep in mind:

  • Scheduling a ride in advance doesn’t guarantee you’ll be connected with a driver.
  • We’ll notify you in the rare case you’re not connected with a driver.
  • Dynamic pricing may be in effect at the time of your ride. We’ll let you know if your price has changed.

To schedule a ride:

  • Enter your destination in the “Where to?” field.
  • Swipe through vehicle options and tap one to select it for your ride.
  • Select payment method
  • Tap the clock icon next to the “Choose” button.
  • Set the date and time for your pickup.
  • Tap “Set pickup time.”
  • Confirme sua reserva

To cancel a scheduled ride:

  • From the main screen, tap “Account” and then “Trips.”
  • Select the “Past” dropdown and then “Upcoming.”

You can cancel your request at any point before being matched with a driver without any charge. Normal cancellation fees apply once a driver accepts your trip request.

Where and when is this available?

You can schedule trips to the airport, but not when leaving an airport. If you’re leaving an airport, you should request an on-demand ride.

To contact your driver:

  • Tap the bar that displays the driver’s info at the bottom of your screen.
  • Click on the message ICON and you are ready to text him

My driver took a poor route

If you have concerns about the route your driver took, let us know here. We will be happy to review.

Trip prices are calculated including both distance and time, as well as other applicable charges.

Please keep in mind that if events outside your drivers control (such as traffic or road construction) impact your route and travel time, we may not be able to update the price.

How do I get a copy of this trips receipt?

When a trip ends, we automatically send a receipt to the email address on your account. If you aren’t receiving receipts, check the spam or junk folder of this email address. You can review your email address by selecting Settings from your app menu. Tap your email address to update it.

To review all trips taken on your account:

  • Select “Your Trips” from the app menu.
  • Select a past trip.
  • You can review the trip’s route, pickup location and final destination.
  • For a full breakdown of your fare, tap “Receipt.”
